Please take pity on me, as this is driving me nuts!

I have installed n2  on my local machine, runs perfectly through iis7 and the inbuilt server in VS 2005 connecting to a sql server 2005 (I am loving it a lot) , however when uploaded to my remote site I get...

"No database or not properly configured connection string (error message: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)"

Is this a shared hosting gotcha? or have I done something extremely dumb? (wouldnt surprise me...)

The connection string is text book

  <add name="N2CMS" connectionString="Data Source=teh.numbers.go.here;Initial Catalog=blah;User ID=blah;Password=blah"
   providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

I am going to go away and cry for a while.... please help.

Fixed, i was being stupid and was using the wrong ip to connect to sql server, i should have been using the internal ip address.
