This is Sankar. i have downloaded the n2cms1.4.2 version.
I was unable to find all the things as shown in the virtual demo.
How can i achieve that?

As per the demo what i have seen is very much useful to me.
But, I want the CMS concept in MySql.
As per the installation guide i changed in web.config file as follows

<add name="N2CMS" connectionString="Server=MyServerName;Database=Sample;User Id=root;Password=root;" providerName="MySql.Data.MySqlClient"/>

<database connectionStringName="N2CMS" flavour="MySql" />

but it is giving an error message as follows:

The IDbCommand and IDbConnection implementation in the assembly MySql.Data could not be found. Ensure that the assembly MySql.Data is located in the application directory or in the Global Assembly Cache. If the assembly is in the GAC, use <qualifyAssembly/> element in the application configuration file to specify the full name of the assembly.

can anybody help me to get out of this trouble.

Hi, you should locate the file MySql.Data.dll and put it in your /bin folder. What package did you download? Look in the folder called lib.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I downloaded the lateset version only i.e. 1.4.2
As you said, i copied the MySql.Data.dll file into the bin folder.
 Now i'm getting the output. But i have 2 more problems now.

1.  i am not getting all the links as shown in the Demo Site.
2. Once if i logged out and login again it is not allowing me to login. i didn't changed my password.
it is still admin/changeme only.
But i was unable to login from second time onwards.

Plz help me its very urgent.

Thanks & Regards,

  1. If you head for /edit/install you can create a site with some custom content (there's a radio button list with sample content).
  2. You can look up the password in web.config
