I think the HasValueExpressionBuilder has a small flaw. It doesn't allow value checks for booleans.
If I have a checkbox (e.g. ShowHeader) it would be nice to be able to set the "Visible" parameter of a Panel or PlaceHolder using the HasValueExpressionBuilder based on whether or not the checkbox is checked (if checked, than HasValueExpressionBuilder should return "true").

Thanks for the input I'll check this. There's a another (better) option imho: if it's a boolean you should be able to use

 <asp:panel visible=<%$ CurrentItem: ShowHeader %>...

The HasValue is mostly useful when you have a string and you want to hide stuff when the string is empty

You're completely right. I'll use the CurrentItem ExpressionBuilder instead.
