Public SiteMap Provider and SecurityTrimming

Mar 15, 2008 at 9:54 PM

I am doing some work with a Non-profit and one of the things they would like their site to do is to is to require people to register to be able to view sections of the website. we want them to see the link and the be sent to a registration page if they do not have a user. but when i set n2 to do this the link to that page is removed form the menu even though i have set not to using: SecurityTrimmingEnabled="false" dose this work in the n2 sitemap provider. i have looked over the code and to me it should given that they are based on the .net base class.

Thanks for any help

I'm sorry but I didn't consider that option. I'll look into it.

Not sure this is an optino for you. In more recent projects I've kindof run into the limitations of the sitemap providers and made a custom implementation instead. If you look at the code for the "templates" there's a menu webcontrol that uses filters.
