It's totally independent of how you want to build your site (MVC or Webforms based) and it doesn't require you to implement dozens of interfaces if you start from scratch. I've also tried Orchard, but I find N2 to be less abstract and allot easier to find entry points for custom code. A great choice!

Reviewed: 2.2.1 (Apr 13, 2012)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - Excellent framework for building content managed sites. N2 is perfect. The flexibility in defining your own content items in code and the friendly query API is what I like the most. The ability to restrict content items to only be children or parents of other content item types is genius. The editor interface is also very nice.

Reviewed: 2.1.1 (May 09, 2011)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - Nothing short of fantastic! This is THE best CMS system. We tried many CMS systems out there. They were all so complicated that we got lost as a development team and/or so restricted that we couldn't just do what we wanted to do. N2 is the perfect balance between user friendly interfaces and flexibility in coding.

Reviewed: 2.1.1 (Mar 03, 2011)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - This is definitely a good release. The documentation is the only thing that lets this product down you have to do a lot of self discovery.

I am using the MVC example - You need VS2008SP1 and mvc installed to run the project. When you do go to /edit to get in the NS CMS system the user name and password is stored in the web config file in the root of the site.

Reviewed: 2.0 (Sep 15, 2010)

Rated 4 Stars (out of 5) - From documentation it looks impressive, going to downlaod and test on my laptop first then i'll try on one of my web sites. i'll post my exeriance and URL .
good work.

Reviewed: 2.0 (jul 31, 2010)

Rated 4 Stars (out of 5) - A really good CMS and very easy to learn. If you're going to design an ASP.NET website, you should definetily try out this CMS.

It might not be the best solution for enterprise level websites, where you need to share content between multiple branded sites.
