N2Cms Deployment in IIS6.0 Windows 2003 Standard Edition

  1. Downloaded sourcecode from sourceforge
  2. Unziped folder and deployed in Windows 2003 standard edition with IIS6.0
  3. Installation process completed successfully
  4. Home page displayed successfully
  5. while clicking on the "features, Events,..etc (subpages)" page is unable to open. But i am able to edit the page.
  6. Error is "The page can't be found"
Can any one suggest me to solve the deployment issue

Which project did you download and deploy?  Did you deploy to a new web site or a virtual directory?   If a virtual directory, did you create an application for it in IIS admin?

Unzip TemplateSource folder. In that i taken wwwroot folder and deploy as new website.

I have the same problem in Windows 2003 with IIS6.0

Have you enabled wildcard mappings? By default IIS5-6 doesn't pass on requests without the .aspx extension.

I enabled wild card extension by placing .aspx now  it is working. Thank you for your suggestion.

As far as my testing goes, adding the wildcard extension is the only way to get MVC to work. Modifying the routing in global.asax.cs seems to break the application (routing), at least last time I tested by adding a news-archive and trying to create comments.
