Can anyone help me figure out why I started getting the exception below when loading the N2 template TopMenu? All I have done is slightly tweak the regular top menu. I don't know what the error no session implies... I don't have much knowledge
of NHibernate.
Note: The code is deployed in a shared hosting environment and has been working fine until I setup Pingdom to ping my site every minute. The site is not live so there are no other users.

NHibernate uses sessions (implementation of unit of work pattern) to work with DB. A new instance of ISession is created and disposed per web request. Each object loaded thru an instance of ISession is attached to that instance. If an object has a lazily loaded
collection (i.e. this collection is not loaded from the DB until the collection is accessed) that collection will be laoded usign the same ISession instance as the parent object.
The exception says it can't load child items for a content item. This might be due to this content item outliving it's ISession instance e.g. if the content item is cached and re-used across several web requests.

I’m not familiar with that one. Is that a web.config setting?
My project is based off of the MVC Templates project. I just extended the menu so that I can render a full drop down of children as well on the homepage. I had a thought maybe this error occurs occasionally due to my code being hosted in a shared
cloud hosting environment (SQL is static, but front end server can change). If there is any association between SQL and what is stored in memory on front end server then if the Front end server ever changes things could get messed up. I don't really
know how it works internally though.

Yes, it's in web.config. I tracked down a similar issue which was due to N2's persister being disposed by the indexer.
