editor roles configuration Feature

can anyone please explain me this feature which is new in v1.41. How can I define roles?

Hi, use it like this:
      <editors users="" roles="Editors,OtherEditorRole"/>
      <administrators users="admin" roles="Administrators,OtherAdministratorRole" />

Most of the configuration options can be deduced from defaults.web.config.

ok. That's clear. But ...
is it possible to create new roles and assign them in the dialog

Hi, do you want to modify which roles are available? The roles are defined by the roles provider. In the templates project they can be changed if you enable "settings > display data items" and edit the roles node.
